The Calder Library subscribes to clinical decision support databases, including ClinicalKey, Isabel, VisualDx, AccessMedicine, DynaMed, UpToDate and more.

Research Resources and Services
Evidence Synthesis Review Service
Offers faculty expert guidance on systematic reviews, scoping reviews, meta-analyses, and more. Two tracks are available: consultation and collaboration (co-authorship).
Research Sprints
Offers faculty the opportunity to partner with a team of library experts on a component of their broader research project. Each Research Sprint will take place over the course of two days to address the project-based obstacle and deliver a tangible plan or outcome.

Open Access Funding
Sponsored open access publishing opportunities include: Company of Biologists, Frontiers, IOP, PLOS, RSC, Scholarship@Miami, Springer, and Wiley.
A new tool for searching journals covered by the University's open access APC agreements is in development.
Instruction and Training
Learn about a variety of library and information related topics, including:
- Introduction to the Calder Library: essential overview of all the resources and services that are available to you at the Calder Library
- Research and Database Training: learn about the databases available for literature reviews, systematic reviews, and other research projects, including but not limited to MEDLINE/PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, Scopus, and Web of Science.
Learn about ArcGIS Online, SPSS, Python, R, SAS, OSF, REDCap, Field Maps (ESRI), Tableau, Research Data Management, etc.
Citation Management
Learn about the citation management tools available to enable you to collect, organize, share, and format citations in your publications.Tools include: EndNote, RefWorks, and Zotero.

A downloadable bibliography and database manager that enables you to collect citation information from databases, websites, and more; organize them; and use them to create bibliographies and in-text citations. The link provided will take you to the University of Miami Information Technology website where you can download EndNote.
Note: To access, users must create/log into an individual account. Refworks is a web based bibliography and database manager that allows users to create their own personal database by importing references from text files or online databases.
Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, annotate, cite, and share research.
